Quality Assurance

A national system of quality assurance is essential in providing the NHS and social care workforce with clear, consistent, evidence-based standards of both content and delivery processes of simulation-based learning. This will lead to reliable, safe standards of care for patients.

The development of frameworks, templates and national resources for the briefing, immersion and debrief components of the simulation-based educational process through consensus, will support national standards with local ownership of the multi-professional quality assurance process.
