CSMEN seeks to pull together different strands of activity, identify gaps in provision and to work with others involved in clinical skills education.  In particular, we support BASICS Scotland, the Dundee Institute for Healthcare Simulation and the Scottish Centre for Simulation and Clinical Human Factors.

BASICS Scotland

BASICS Scotland is a Scottish charity, dedicated to providing specialist pre-hospital emergency care training for doctors, nurses and paramedics in Scotland, particularly those working in remote and rural locations.

Dundee Institute for Healthcare Simulation

The Dundee Institute of Healthcare Simulation was formed to capitalise on the capability of two centres (Clinical Skills and Surgical Skills) within the School of Medicine at the University of Dundee with combined experience to provide simulation-based medical learning. It supports clinical education and promotes innovation in simulation-based learning by providing relevant, high quality procedure based skills courses.
