RESOURCE IN DEVELOPMENT

Aim: Upon completion the practitioner will have enhanced their understanding and practice of

  • Heart Anatomy
  • Cardiac cells
  • Intrinsic rates
  • ECG graph components
  • Six stage approach
  • Recording ECG

 Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the heart including:
  • conduction system of the heart
  • surface of heart
  • bloody supply
  • Relate this conduction system to ECG tracing
  • Record an accurate 12 lead ECG
  • Recognise normal sinus rhythm using 6 stage approach
