Mobile Unit in Highland Perthshire

The Mobile Clinical Skills Unit went to Pitlochry on 15th August for the first time, serving healthcare practitioners in Highland Perthshire from Crieff, Auchterarder, Blair Atholl and Blairgowrie, and will stay there for ten days. It offers staff the chance to practise and refresh their skills in a safe environment, with state of the art simulation equipment and audiovisual debriefing facilities, without having to travel long distances to teaching centres in the central belt. One of the main outcomes for staff is that they gain confidence in procedures which they may not encounter very often in their normal practice, e.g. CPR
