Host Requirements

A person to act as a 'host' for the visit must be identified, the host is the first point of liaison with the CS MEN office and should ideally have attended the MSU Faculty Development Course prior to the MSU visit. The host identifies where the Unit should be located and organises practical aspects of the visit:

  • Working with others at the venue to plan the training programme based on local training needs, and provide a copy of the final programme to the MSU Project Officer prior to MSU visit
  • Advertising the programme and taking bookings
  • Making sure the MSU is set out appropriately
  • Meet the driver on arrival and departure or allocate local contact to meet the driver to take responsibility of the keys and security
  • Health and safety
  • Provide MSU Project Officer with statistics of the visit by completing MSU Statistics Form
  • Ensure all equipment is packed away before departure to its next location
  • Ensure MSU is clean and any rubbish removed prior to departure
